I am not oky

It is an installation-based dance-theater(Tanztheater) work by MÜN Kollektiv exploring social expectations, self-control, and the traces they leave on the body.

Taking the Korean concept of Han (한) as its point of departure, the work asks how unspoken experiences of pain, anger, endurance, and adaptation become stored in the body.

At its centre is the female-coded body—observed, judged, corrected, and expected to conform. Through dance, language, live music, objects, and live camera, the performance examines how social norms become gestures, habits, and forms of self-control.

The body becomes an archive of memories, rules, and strategies for survival. I AM NOT OKAY asks what happens when that body begins to resist the rules written into it—and when saying “I am not okay” becomes an act of visibility and resistance.
